Phat Compact Inline Muffler / Silencer - 200MM x 760MM

The Phat Inline Silencer 200 x 760MM is a high-performance acoustic muffler designed to reduce noise generated by inline fans, blowers and fast-moving air within ducted ventilation systems. Featuring a 200MM (8 inch) connection, it is well suited to hydroponic grow rooms, grow tents, indoor gardens and larger extraction systems where effective ventilation noise management is required.

Featuring an 85% Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC), the Phat Silencer uses specialised glass pack acoustic material to absorb and reduce fan and airflow noise. Unlike conventional foam-based materials that may deteriorate or disintegrate over time, the Phat glass pack provides a durable solution for ongoing sound attenuation.

The lightweight aluminium construction provides a strong yet manageable housing that is easy to install and resistant to rust. A specially designed 45-degree internal taper before the flanges further assists with noise reduction while supporting smooth airflow through the silencer.

Designed for maximum free-flow air movement, the Phat Inline Silencer helps manage ventilation noise without unnecessarily restricting airflow through a correctly sized extraction system. This makes it particularly useful with high-airflow 200MM inline fans and compatible carbon filtration systems.

The muffler features a non-directional design, allowing airflow to pass through it in either direction. When using a single silencer, installation on the intake side of the fan or blower is recommended for maximum sound attenuation. For additional sound reduction, one Phat Muffler can be installed on the fan intake and another on the outlet.

For standard installations, the 200MM Phat Muffler should be matched with 200MM ducting and a compatible 200MM inline fan. It can be attached using suitable self-tapping sheet metal screws or duct tape, while chain or rope wrapped around the housing can be used for suspended installations.

The unit weighs approximately 4.7kg. Keep the muffler dry during operation, and if it becomes wet, allow it to dry thoroughly before returning it to normal use.
