Phat Compact Inline Muffler / Silencer - 300MM x 890MM

The Phat Inline Silencer 300 x 890MM is a high-capacity acoustic muffler designed to reduce noise generated by large inline fans, blowers and air moving through ducted ventilation systems. Featuring a 300MM (12 inch) connection, it is ideal for larger hydroponic grow rooms, indoor gardens and high-airflow extraction systems where ventilation noise management is important.

Featuring an 85% Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC), the Phat Silencer uses specialised glass pack acoustic material to absorb and reduce fan and airflow noise. Unlike conventional foam-based acoustic materials that may deteriorate or disintegrate over time, the Phat glass pack provides a durable solution for ongoing sound attenuation.

The lightweight aluminium construction makes the silencer easier to handle, install and suspend while providing resistance to rust. A specially designed 45-degree internal taper before the flanges further assists with noise reduction while supporting smooth airflow through the ventilation system.

Designed for maximum free-flow air movement, the Phat Inline Silencer helps reduce ventilation noise without unnecessarily restricting airflow through a correctly sized extraction system. The large 300MM connection makes this model particularly suitable for high-capacity inline fans and larger grow room ventilation installations.

The silencer features a non-directional design, allowing airflow to pass through it in either direction. When using a single muffler, installation on the intake side of the inline fan or blower is recommended for maximum sound attenuation. For additional noise reduction, one Phat Muffler can be installed on the intake and another on the outlet.

For standard installations, the 300MM Phat Muffler should be matched with 300MM ducting and a compatible 300MM inline fan. Suitable self-tapping sheet metal screws or duct tape can be used for a secure connection, while chain or rope wrapped around the housing can be used for suspended installations.

The Phat Muffler should be kept dry during operation. If it becomes wet, allow it to dry thoroughly before returning it to normal use.
